A tribute to some of those most-likely unnoticed bosses and/or monsters
#1: Dulan.
Origin: Ys3, wanderers from Ys (SNES)
"I am Dulan! Come!!" Dispite being so simple (crawl+power ring=ownage), he looked pretty awesome, and it's just something with what he says. He can actualy prove tough without the power ring, just be at least lv. 5 or you'll do no damage. Really, his teleporting is the only damaging move if you fight him cheaply.
#2: Castoth.
Origin: Illusion of Gaia (SNES)
I was reading a gamefaqs guide and it mentioned him as "grotesque". He actualy looks rather kickass, and for a 1st boss, he's pretty hard if you're reckless. When you actualy get used to his attacks and your attack range, as Freedan, he'll go down the 2nd time to strike down the hands. (shoop dah whoop, his forehead is afirin his lazar).
#3+4: Zuh and Medusa.
Origin: Final Fantasy, Mystic Quest (SNES)
Perhaps the hardest bosses in the game. Early on when you fight Medusa, you're not immune to stone, and anything but bombs, spells, and Reuben's mace (morning star) will get you petrified. She also has those minions that can confuse you. Zuh's cheap to if you're too slow and mabey unlucky with his doom dance (death move). By that point, immune to all bad stats, except death moves.
#5: first monster
Origin: almost every game.
That one monster you kill at the begining in any game marks the true begining of the adventure. You might forget about them later on for some of the tougher ones or even bosses, but it's usualy that first monster that gives you the confidence to kill others, level up, and dominate.
#6: Cow
Origin: Earthworm Jim.
Not really a monster, but still. It all starts by launching the cow in New Junk City thinking "what's the point in that?" As you reach near the end of the game, you'll see him flying in the background if you're observent enough (not too hard to see him unless struggling or in a slightly lazy mood). And in the end, he crushes the princess you appaently was trying to save. (at least Jim leaves with a crown when Cow and Princess Whatshername fall in the lava when the edge breaks).
#7: Drake
Origin: Shadowrun
The evil dragon who was cheated for position of the final boss and seems like a liar as Shadowrun 2 never came out, like he said in the end credits. Even with the Jester Spirit, You can be pretty well screwed unless you use Freeze or at least Armor (mabey Invisability). Too bad he lacked lines, as when you talk to him on the phone and ask something, he simply replies "You're dead Armitage".
